MojoPages - Video blogging the startup
Curious if the local plumber does good work? MojoPages could help you find the answer. Launching soon, MojoPages claims to be a “next generation yellow pages”. Visitors to the site will be able to search for local businesses and read community reviews, ratings and information. Adding a social network to the old yellow pages concept is a great idea.
So far, I am very impressed with the company’s PR and marketing strategy. MojoPages has created a blog to document their startup process. Aside from the typical text posts, the team at MojoPages has produced short video clips. The videos highlight particular points within the startup cycle and offer a very candid inside look at the company. I found the videos very interesting and not the like other dry “pitches” that sometimes plague the Tech world.
I think MojoPages can be a successful startup and I look forward to checking out the Alpha Launch. Make sure to keep reading to view the complete video series from the MojoPages team.

Ian,
Thanks for the kind words about MojoPages. We are glad to hear that you like the videos. We try our darndest to keep them as real as possible and not dry if at all possible. We just thought that there might be an interest into what it takes to get a startup going.
It actually is a fair amount of work to keep the videos moving but we have lot’s of positive comments so we decided to keep the series going at least until beta launch (alpha is live). Thanks again for the blog post and for adding the videos here.
Rodney Rumford
p.s. “What happened in New Orleans?” I was at a conference for 5 days and had no sleep, lost my voice talking about new technologies and enjoyed Bourbon Street and helped pump money back into the local economy…

Rodney,
Thanks for solving the New Orleans mystery! I’ve been down that road before at a 5 day conference in Vegas and can definitely relate.
Thanks for the comment and good luck in your continued “Business Directory 2.0″ quest.
